My artwork is known for my organic, whimsical watercolor paintings of the beings and elements that occupy the natural environment. My influences are pulled from my deep respect, love, and curiosity for the natural world and the strong connection that I feel with it. It has been this way for as long as I can remember.

The majority of paintings I create illuminate the similarities that humans share with fellow plant and animal beings, expressing the interconnectedness we all share. Within my works of art, I hope to challenge the boundaries separating humans, animals, and flora that have been established through egocentric mindsets, and provoke those who have evolved away from nature to adopt a more harmonious way of thinking. For those who observe our fellow entities a little closer, they can realize these parallels, making us more prone too empathy in our interactions.

I graduated with a BFA from Northern Michigan University, located in Marquette, Michigan. I spent my college career being surrounded by the mother of the Great Lakes–Lake Superior, as well as the magnificent wildlife and thriving forestry which inhabits the Upper Peninsula. I was able to spend most of my time getting acquainted with the fiercely feral waters and neighboring entities alike. The time we spent together brought further acknowledge to their personalities and unique qualities that make all living things a wonder among us, deserving of equality and respect.
